BeanShell is easy to learn, especially if you have experience with Java, C++, or other object-oriented languages. Using BeanShell macros can help automate routine tasks and can extend jEdit's features with a minimum of coding. With the JythonInterpreter plugin, jEdit can also process scripts written in Python. These macros can also be used to make jEdit more productive for you. -
