CodeBrowser in Mac OS X

Is there a binary for exuberant ctags for Mac OS X. Sourceforce.net has the source with a make file for CodeWarrior but I do not have it. I have GCC.

Download the ctags-5.5.4.tar.gz file from Sourceforge. Unzip and untar it. Then open Terminal and navigate to the folder containing all the source. Type configure, then make. This will build ctags for the Mac, and place the executable in /usr/local/bin/ctags. So once it's compiled, in the JEdit options for CodeBrowser, enter /usr/local/bin/ctags into the ctags path, and Apply.

I could not find configure in my system. Could you please tell me where I can find it or where I can learn about it.

You don' t have to find it. It is in de ctags folder that you just downloaded. Open the Terminal go to the ctags folder and type ./configure (if you need help you type ./configure --help)

configure is a script that sees if everything is available it needs to compile (that 's what make is made for)

So first go to the ctags folder in the Terminal than type ./configure than type make and than sudo make install
