Is there a way to "goto" a selected method. For instance in foo.java

Bar bar = new Bar();

bar.findThisOne();

is there a way while in foo.java to highlight "bar.findThisOne() and have that file opened and positioned on that method

There may be better ways for java, but for C I use the CodeBrowser- and Tags-plug-ins.

CodeBrowser automatically builds the tags for the current file, but it cannot handle multiple files, I think.

Tags allows the function you are looking for ("Follow Tag"), but does not build the tag-file itself.

I made a macro:

runCommandInConsole(view,"System","cd $d"); // change to the directory of the current file
runCommandInConsole(view,"System","c:\\programme\\ctags554\\ctags *"); // create tag-file "tags" for all source-files in directory

You can also include such a functionality into you build-process.

Read the documentation of both plug-ins anyway (to see where to get from ctags, etc.)
