Is jEdit development still active?

Hi,

I've been using jEdit for a very long time now, and it's a great editor, much better than the lot of them out there.
However, in the past recent months I have somewhat missed the regular releases and updates that once appeared on a monthly basis. It appears that jEdit 4.3pre2 has been there for too long and I'm beginning to worry that development and updates for this excellent editor have ceased.

Please calm my worries and update the site with new releases Smiling

Hello Sefer,

i hope that in future comes new version or releases of jedit. i think if it works, don´t touch the running system Eye-wink

and i think the same... for coders is jedit the best multi text editor in the web.

I can't comment on releases, the CVS tree however is still quite active, so development is definitely still on going.

Like you I miss the regular updates to jEdit, to the point I'm considering building my own from CVS soon. On that note; is there a marked revision in CVS thats more current than 4.3pre2 and also fairly stable?, else just have to take the risk of building from the trunk I guess Smiling
