"Explore from here" functionality

Like in dreamweaver 8, can we have (or is it already possible) a shortcut key / button which will open up the directory in which the file that you are currently editing resides in the platforms file explorer, e.g. nautilus, windows explorer etc and can the file explorer be configurable.

For Windows You could take this small beanshell script: Show_in_WindowsExplorer.bsh. I've assigned it to a button in the toolbar.
It should not be difficult to customize it for other environments.

The script was excellent, many thanks.

Is there a way to stop the console window from popping up everytime i execute it? I think it has something to do with

runInSystemShell(view, "%kill");

( i could be wrong)

Once this is finished and working i will release it for others to reuse.

The console window pops up because explorer is started in console. The "%kill" comand should kill the created foreground process - but dosen't work. The line "jEdit.getAction("console-toggle").invoke(view);" should close the self-opened console window. This works for me...

So try the updated beanshell script: Show_in_WindowsExplorer.bsh.

It's now independent of the console plugin - but very simple (no error checking...). That's why console window does not pop up.
