Requesting ability to search&replace on multiple ':'-separated directories at once

I have code that is separated across a number of different directories, but these directories are described by a ':' separated environment variable. I'd like to put that string into the directory text label and then have it search those directories.

Another way to do it would be to set up a new project (using Project Viewer plugin). Add all the directories containing your code to the project. You could then use the project search function to search the code in all your directories.

That would work. But the issue is that I have many sandboxes with varying names. On average I work with about 2 new sandboxes a week. I realize I could name the sandbox the same name, but I prefer to be explicit when moving to a new branch. I just want to grab the SPECMAN_PATH environment variable from my shell and jam it into jedit to begin searching across the many subdirectories of the sandbox.

Try recording a macro and then modify it adding a for loop to iterate trough all your directories.

Ok, I could do that. But this is a common problem. Python has ':'-separated env vars, Perl, Specman...
