Buffersets in spit view
Submitted by Hans_Bauer on Saturday, 28 May, 2011 - 09:31
With jEdit 4.3.x having a split-view it was possible to have different buffers in each split. With 4.4pre1 under Win7x64 this possibility seems to be gone. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Thank you Robert,

with "Main menu -> View -> Buffer Sets -> EditPane scope" it is possible to load different buffersets for each split. Using this way i get an error (without any further effect) repeated afterwards.

My first try was "Utilities -> Global-Options -> View -> BufferSet scope -> editpane". But the global settings seemed to have no more effect.

The error-message:
Error in method invocation: Method setBufferSetScope( org.gjt.sp.jedit.bufferset.BufferSet$Scope ) not found in class'org.gjt.sp.jedit.EditPane' : at Line: 4 : in file: inline evaluation of: ``__runCachedMethod(ns) { this.callstack.set(0,ns); editPane.setBufferSetScope( . . . '' : editPane .setBufferSetScope ( BufferSet .Scope .editpane )

status line

Yes seems I didn't tried it. The other way is to toggle the Buffer Set scope via status line - this really works, at least in the latest daily built version Eye-wink. If You didn't change the status line, it should be the right most letter (tooltip is "BufferSet scope is ...)"
