Search and replace in all buffers
Submitted by Hans_Bauer on Friday, 10 June, 2011 - 07:50
When having several *.prn-files/buffers (containing text only) open within one instance of jEdit and trying to search and replace e.g. "," by "." in all buffers i get the error

"The specified search file set contains no files. Please ensure that the file name filter and directory to search (if applicable) are set correctly"

The error occurs with jEdit 4.4pre1 under Win7x64

Oh sorry, could anyone move this into the bug-forum please?

not a bug

It's not a bug and not an error - it's just a bit surprising for a while Eye-wink

Both the search in directory and the search in all open buffers do apply the filter glob to get the list of files to search for. This means, if You do a search in all open buffers and Your filter glob is "*.txt", but You have no open buffer with ".txt" extension, jEdit has no file to search in it. Then You get the mentioned message...
