jedit stopped opening

I was using jedit yesterday with no problems. This morning it won't start. I click on the icon or select the program from the list and nothing happens. It's as if I never clicked on it in the first place. Everything else on the computer seems fine.
All I have done between these two times that might be connected is log on to a wireless network for the first time ever. Any help appreciated....

Having the same problem

Me 2. My JEdit won't start. the jvm starts up and I see the process in the process explorer but the splash and the buffer window doesn't appear. There hasn't been any updates or anything to my installation. Any ideas? I delete the perspective.xml file and still no luck.

I renamed the .jedit folder to .jedit.fubared in C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\

and it did work, BUT I lost all my plugins, settings, docks, you name it. It was like a fresh new install.

So I can't say what actually caused the issue, but , would there be a way to log start up so that I could track failures or deadlocks if possible?

Renaming the settings folder is sometimes the only way. But You can copy the plugin jars and some other files to Your new settings folder...

Logging is done into ~\activity.log (in settings folder).
