Submitted by Tuesday, 24 December, 2002 - 17:37
I just wondered whether it was possible (or even reasonable) to consider using jEdit or parts of it as a Swing component to be integrated in applications.

Would that not be a good idea ?

Making jEdit's feature set more accessible
Submitted by Wednesday, 9 October, 2002 - 18:52
From reading the jEdit 4.1 feature suggestions
article, it seems the majority of suggested features are already in jEdit (wheel mouse scroll, word wrap, saving files in a background thread, window docking, ...). This suggests that users are having a hard time finding out about jEdit's feature set; what can be done to make the learning curve easier?

jEdit 4.1pre3 now available
Submitted by Tuesday, 20 August, 2002 - 20:14
After a brief hiatus, jEdit development has resumed. Go download 4.1pre3
and tell me what you think. The most interesting new feature in this release is probably the addition of regular expression syntax highlighting rules. Also auto-completion in the Open File dialog box has been improved, and an option has been added for jEdit 4.0-style tool bar placement.

jEdit 4.0.3 now available
Submitted by Saturday, 15 June, 2002 - 09:02
To make things easier for those on dialup, I have uploaded 2 unified diffs, one to patch the jEdit 4.0 source to 4.0.2, and the other to patch the 4.0.2 source to 4.0.3. They are only 10 Kb or so, so this beats having to download the whole package for each bug fix release, assuming you don't mind compiling from source, and using the appropriate tools to apply the patches.
