German Language Starter Pack for jEdit 5 (jEdit5_de.zip v5.0 by Robert Schwenn)
Submitted by Thursday, 17 January, 2013 - 22:43
jEdit 5 now supports built-in language switching. But at release time of jEdit 5.0.0 the German language file hasn't been up to date. Also, at this point almost no plugin contains a German language file, because I've just made them. Only coming releases of jEdit and plugins will contain up-to-date German language.
To get proper German language support for jEdit 5.0.0 and suported plugins just now, You could patch Your jars with the language files of the attached archive - see details in readme.txt.
Via the regular download link I always get an invalid Zip archive. So here is an alternative download

German Localization light (deutsch.props v22.214.171.124 by Robert Schwenn)
Submitted by Sunday, 23 October, 2005 - 16:56
Most visible labels of jEdit's core and about 60 plugins should appear in German language, after this properties file is put into jEdit's "properties" directory (under jEdit_Home), and jEdit was restarted.
Supported plugins (and other details): see fileheader.
Changes in Version 126.96.36.199:
- Support for jEdit core 4.4.2.
- Update for recent versions of all supported plugins
CAUTION: Users of the SVNPlugin have to use the matching deutsch.props, otherwise some menu items are labeled wrong!
iEdit Launcher-like program (doesn't need .NET) (windows_runjedit.zip v1.0 by Kuba)
Submitted by Saturday, 5 February, 2005 - 15:00
Do you miss jEditLauncher? Use RunjEdit!
This tiny program runs jEdit and gives it over any command-line parameter such as filenames. You can use it to open files in jEdit. For example you can associate some file extension such as .java with it or you can create a link to it from your directory C:\Documents and Settings\\SendTo so that you can open any file in it via the context menu "Send To".
It runs jEdit with the option -reuseview thus opening a file in an existing instance of jEdit unless jEdit is not yet running.
1. The program must be in the same directory as jedit.jar because it looks there for it (unpack the zip and move runjedit.exe to wherever your jEdit is.
2. You Java executable must be named javaw.exe and it must be on the system %PATH%
(To modify the PATH variable right-click on "My Computer" on the desktop and select "Properties". In the System Properties window click on the "Advanced" tab. In the Advanced section click the "Environment Variables" button. If you're an Admin edit the variable PATH otherwise add a new user variable called PATH with the value (modified for your computer):
and log out and back in again.)
3. Runjedit have only been tested under Windows 2000/XP but hopefully it runs elsewhere too.
Runjedit was developed with Dev-C++ but except for the icon it's an ordinary C++ program not bound to Dev-C++.
If you find any bugs let me know to email@example.com
PS: I've realized that somebody else has published something similar a few days ago and it might be better but since it requires .NET I do release this for those who haven't it.
LaTeX math symbols for XInsert (LaTeX_math_symbols.insert.xml v0.1 by rikal)
Submitted by Friday, 8 October, 2004 - 12:52
This is a list of LaTeX math symbols for the XInsert plugin. You need to specify a Unicode font for the GUI (it should work with the standard Dialog font provided with Java, Lucida Sans). If you use Java 1.5, you can enable autoaliasing by using the -Dswing.aatext=true option in your jEdit startup script. For the present it only covers standard LaTeX math symbols, but AMS symbols, IPA characters and dingbats will come soon.
XHTML XInsert Script (xhtml.insert.xml v0.3 by Daniel E. Markle)
Submitted by Wednesday, 15 September, 2004 - 16:08
This script for the XInsert plugin makes it quick and easy to build compliant xhtml 1.0 and html 4.0 strict files. All html tags are in lowercase as required by the xhtml spec, and it tries to provide convenient prompting for required elements in tags. To use it, just copy it to your XInsert script location (~/.jedit/xinsert/ on Linux or OS X) and click reload in XInsert.
