This page lists bounties for development of jEdit or plugins and bounty ideas.

If you're interested in supporting a bounty, please add your name and the amount you're willing to offer. If you have an idea for a bounty, but do not wish to support it, please add it under "Ideas".

There are several issues related to bounties that need to be resolved. See the following thread for original post and ensuing discussion: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=jedit-users&m=110659382205627&w=2. Once those issues are ironed out, this page will be updated.

Correct Me? plugin

This plugin would correct spelling mistakes as you type for predefined words, and would be case sensitive. For example if you specified that if you type $SESS it will automatically be corrected by $_SESS while you are typing.

This can be very useful, especially if you are programming late at night and trying to find out why your code breaks wink

It would be implemented in a similar way to the "abbreviations" feature in Jedit.

Ideas

A list of bounty ideas -- they're not bounties because nothing is being offered. If you're willing to offer something for the idea, add your name, then amount, and move it to the Bounties section.

Emacs Key Bindings

This is a long standing request from ex-Emacs users.

For reference, here's a list of the subset of Emacs bindings supported by BBEdit: BBEdit: Its Unix Support Doesn't Suck Either, Part 2 (look for "Emacs Key Bindings").

Remove comments and block comments

Jedit allows us to add line and block comments but there is command to remove them. This would not be a plugin but an enhancement to the program core. (Ben G?)

Tabs ordering a la windows

If you have enough documents opened to have several rows of tabs, the navigation between tabs is erratic and is rearranged at random (this is very annoying). This would be a fix to the tabs plugin, so that tabs that appear on a given row will always stay on that row at the same vertical position, except that the tab that has the focus would be brought to the front as well as all the other tabs on that row.
