Submitting Patches

There is a little blurb about this on the Development page of jedit.org, which says to submit patches in unified diff format. So you might want to know how to do that.

On linux, it's pretty easy. cvs diff -i > My Patch?.patch in the main source code directory should take care of everything. If you can't use that (cause maybe you checked out the code with gruntspud), you can use diff -u File1 File2, though that gets pretty annoying if you changed a lot of files.

Gruntspud doesn't seem to support unified diffs yet.

Other CVS clients: read the documentation.
