Max number of files to edit
Submitted by yanal on Tuesday, 6 June, 2006 - 19:02
Guys,

While I was substituting strings in all my Java files of my project, which is spread over many packages, I noticed after the substitution some files were completely gone. And empty files with names like: #myfilename.java# were created instead. Anyone has a clue about what could be happened?

Thanks

Out of heap?
by John Jameson on Wed, 07/06/2006 - 08:36
You may have run out of java heap memory. If you are using linux (no experience of jedit on other platforms) you can edit the jedit script file to increase the allocated size.

The #*# files are the jedit backup versions of your files that will have been made before the attempted substitution.
