jEdit 4.3.2: Hypersearch and Sidekick windows open with every file I open

I'm on Fedora 13 64-bit using jEdit 4.3.2 and OpenJDK 1.6.0, and every time I open a file, the Sidekick dock automatically opens (which is irritating because I have it docked on the same side as my file browser), and the Hypersearch window pops open as well. What configuration settings do I change (if any) to stop this behavior?

I'm getting the same issue. The docks or floating instances of Hypersearch and BufferList keep popping up when I open or refresh files.

I've noticed this occurs on one file type in particular *.bat files.

I'm using Jedit 4.4.1 and Java 1.6.0_26. This is on Windows 7 64Bit (I've also seen this behavior on Windows Server 2008 64Bit Jedit 4.4.1 / JDK 1.6.0_21 ).

This behavior is not intended and not configurable. Thoughts:

1. If You have ActionHooks Plugin installed, check if there's an action configured for the BufferUpdate.LOADED event.

2. Maybe there's an issue with OpenJDK. Try Sun Java.

3. Try to rename/delete Your jEdit settings directory.
