short cut keys for hopping between open documents

Is there a short cut keys available for hopping between open documents when the screens are split? In many editors, I can use control and tab keys to do that.

Open documents or different splits ?

Hi

I'm not really sure what you mean here ? If you are talking about how you navigate between different splits then look at the View > Splitting menu. There should be 'Go to Previous Text Area' and 'Go to Next Text Area' options on there. These should enable you to navigate between different splits. As for going between the open buffers then there are a multitude of options for this from built in jEdit options to plugins (Switchbuffer Smiling

and Macros.

My suggestion

I suggest a macro I did myself for my own needs. It's called 'toggle split', perhaps this name isn't esplicative enough. This switches between the two main split areas, vertical or horizontal, resizing them to be 10%-90% and vice versa. I created a keyboard shortcut for this, I think this is similar to what you are looking for... It's in the download area, or via the macro manager plugin.
