No Print Service Found

I know this isn't a jEdit question per se... but I've looked everywhere on the web and groups for an answer.

I get the message 'No Print Service Found' when trying to print on RedHat 9 with Blackdown's 1.4. JVM. Can anyone suggest how to configure this, or a place to look. I can print OK on a Windows install.

I got help from the post linked below. On my Debian box I had to install cupsys-bsd, the old bsd cups utilities. I guess java calls lpc-cups to get a list of printers.

On a gentoo system I had to rename /usr/lib/libcups.so to /usr/lib/libcups-old.so to solve this problem.

And I have to start jedit with

LC_ALL=C jedit

otherwise I'm told that the printer won't accept jobs.

jEdit 4.3pre8 using Java 1.5.0_08

In the page suggested by Seron I found the solution:

A missing file /etc/cups/client.conf might confuse java and java detects no printer. Create /etc/cups/client.conf with the content "ServerName localhost" in this case.
