New install gives me MRJ error

Hi, I've just installed jedit on an up to date install of OS X, and everytime I run JEdit I get "Mac OS Plugin requires a newer version of Java (MRJ 3.2).

What does this mean? and what effects does it have?

Well, the question has been here for over 2 weeks now, and I'm getting the same problem as Mark. I updated my installation of Java to the latest version; I have no idea what this MRJ 3.2 is.

Are we just SOL or will there be some reply to the question?

and plugins wont install
error opening zip file

* What version of OS X are you running?
* Have you searched the mailing list archives for any of the upteen threads that discuss this or related issues?
