Displaying tab and space characters
Submitted by Anonymous on Wednesday, 11 August, 2004 - 01:00
How do I do that in jEdit? Puzzled I miss that feature from EditPlus.

If it can be displayed, how can I change the symbol used for displaying these special characters? I don't like how the line-feed looks like a period.

Whitespace plugin

Try the "whitespace" plugin.

ONLY if use use jEdit 4.1 or earlier download it from plugins.jedit.org

If you use jEdit 4.2, try "White Space Plugin - Hacked (whitespace.zip v0.9.2 (inc by NathanJones)" from the community downloads. The following is the download link: http://community.jedit.org/?q=filestore/download/77

I don't think that the you can change the symbol. The whitespace plugin draws small arrows and circles. The colors for these symbols can be changed in the plugin options.

Hope it helps,
Lars
