Print Selection

It would be nice if a option were available in the print
dialog to print only the currently selected block of text.

Hi,

afaik printing selections is planned for a future version. I help myself with the following quick'n'dirty macro:

Registers.copy(textArea,'$');
Buffer newBuffer = jEdit.newFile(view);
Registers.paste(textArea,'$',false);
if (OperatingSystem.hasJava14() && !jEdit.getBooleanProperty("print.force13"))
BufferPrinter1_4.print(view,newBuffer,false);
else
BufferPrinter1_3.print(view,newBuffer,false);
jEdit._closeBuffer(view,newBuffer);
