No, this problem came up before I even started to customise jedit. I did install some plugins, but how could that affect alt+tab?

Thats interesting ... I use jEdit daily, and I often use alt-tab to switch to my browser or ssh shell or whatever while working in windows. Never had that problem before.

You may want to check your shortcuts, as previously suggested. I know you said you hadn't touched those before, but a plugin might have changed them.

Does anything at all happen when you hit alt tab?

I guess all those plugins had to get "settled in" for a while. I did the install and the plugins all at the same time. Maybe the reboot did it, eh? Sorry for the false alarm, and thanks for the assistance.
