Hi. as far as I know there is no way to do so, but there is an Xsearch plugin that can be docked, although, I do not prefer to use any other feature of Xsearch, as the user interface is really toughly put together without good reasons (e.g. 'find now' button is on the top of the keyword field, contradicting the nature 'up-down' order of using dialogue). I would prefer someone make search a dockable feature native to jedit instead of using the plugin, and would do it myself if I know programming.

But I have a serious asian text related problem in jedit that haven't been fixed for a decode (perhaps a problem of jre) that force me to avoid java applications that often pop up windows. then I had to use the docked plugin.
