jEdit cannot save files in a Samba share

Ok, I've seen another thread (http://community.jedit.org/?q=node/view/2106#2193) which refers to a problem similar to my own but not quite.

I've got a Samba share, with write permission, which I access from my Windows XP box. Symptoms are:

1. With editors other than jEdit (e.g. http://www.crimsoneditor.com/) I can change and save existing files.

2. When I try to save the file with jEdit I get the message:
"Cannot Save: java.io.FileNotFoundException: Z:\tmp\readonly.txt (access denied)".

My configuration is:

1. Samba share - Linux FC3 box;
2. jEdit access machine - Windows XP box;
3. JRE version - 1.5.0_04
4. jEdit version - 4.2final

Dunno if it helps, but did you try to deactivate the two-stage-save in the global options?

PHP project and samba shares

Unfortunately, this doesn't work for PHP project plugin: if a project is saved on a Linux samba share, next time the plugin even won't initialize. Does anyone know any workaround on that?

It worked!! That was exactly the problem!
It was right in front of my eyes and I didn´t see it! In the Global Options says that the two-stage-save resets the file owner on Unix and that was the problem.
