Windows Native Launcher?

Hi, I recently installed jEdit 4.2, and it seems to be a great editor. But I can't seem to associate it with any file types. From googling, it sounds like there used to be a native launcher for this purpose, but it doesn't seem to have been installed with 4.2, and I don't see a standalone download anywhere. Is there a way to do this?

Seems to work fine. Just tell it where your Java install and the .jar are, and it provides a jedit.exe

Thanks for that, I'll make sure and send some feedback to the author after I try it out. For primary editor usage in Windows, I think a native launcher is a big plus.

Yeah, it's proving handy as I move more stuff over to it -- although I probably shan't replace Notepad because the Java makes for a slow starter. Notetab Light is more suited to stuff like that, whereas jEdit's ideal for situations where the editor only typically needs to be loaded once per session.

I'm more used to dragging files into an app to open them, so I hadn't really noticed. Smiling
