Console : where are the error patterns ?
Submitted by Baldurien on Friday, 24 March, 2006 - 18:19
Hi,

I just installed the last version of the Console plugin, and *pouf* : no more pattern for the error list! So when I run my make command, I don't have the error in the error list (which is practic when with C++ ...)

I don't want to rewrite them all, so I decided to desinstall Console, and reinstall it, but since it seems that the pattern are not even in the release :/

What could I do?

bug

A small hack to fire the bug:
Close jEdit. From Console.jar extract the file "Console.props". Search for the property "console.errors.default" and rename it to "console.errors.list". Then copy the file back to the jar.

What is the real name of prop

What is the real name of property ? From what I've seen, it will correct that (silly) thing, but when i add a new filter (and I have a doxygen filter Smiling), then it is completly ignored...

In fact, it seems that it take only the Console.props property, and not mine.

In this case You should copy

In this case You should copy the mentioned property "console.errors.list=...." to Your properties file (see Utilities->settings directory).
The property contains a space-separated list of all names of defined error-patterns to use. Add the name of Your doxygen-filter to the list.

In the properties file there should be some linies with property names like "console.error._name of user error pattern_.****". The "_name of user error pattern_" is the name of Your pattern that You should add to the list.

Hope the bug will be killed soon...
