Using jedit with multiple clients

Hi,
I am using Jedit with Mandrake 9.0, installed on a specific PC. We use VNC to connect to the Linux account from other Pc's (Windows PC's). Suppose we are 2 clients connecting to the same linux account (same login), but working on different KDE desktops (possible with VNC). Then, the first client runs Jedit --> it works fine. But the second client cannot open the Jedit window on its own PC. Instead, the window is opened on the first client terminal...
Is there some parameter to set or configuration that could help ??

from jedit help:
"If jEdit is started while another copy is already running, control is transferred to the running copy... Communication ... is implemented using TCP/IP sockets; the initial instance is known as the server, and subsequent invocations are clients."

When jedit starts, it looks in its settings directory for a file named "server". If this file exists, the server is runnning and a client view is opend - in Your case at the "wrong" desktop.

I hope, the simplest way to solve Yor problem should be to start jedit with the command line switch "-noserver".

May be the following switch helps too:
at desktop1: "-settings=(directory1)"
at desktop2: "-settings=(directory2)"
So jedit uses different settings directories on the different desktops.
