Jedit forget (some) settings
Submitted by matthewyoung on Sunday, 10 December, 2006 - 22:56
I am using 4.2final under Ubuntu 6.10.

I set "View->line number" checked, "Plugins->Buffer tab" checked. On restart, these settings are not restored. But tab width setting is. What's going on?

Temporary Settings.

Those are temporary for your jEdit session. To set them permanently, you need to set them up. For line numbers, go to "Global Options" (should be a button on the main toolbar), "Gutter" and check "Line numbering".

For Buffer tabs, got to "Plugins" -> "Plugin Options", "BufferTabs" and check "Enable BufferTabs by default".

Learn from the past. Live in the present. Plan for the future.

I see, thanks!

I see, thanks!

Maybe JEdit shouldn't provide temporary setting option. Just set it permanently.
