InfoViewer encoding

Hello,

I use InfoViewer plugin to preview HTML during coding.
When I declare UTF-8 in meta tag, and UTF-8 in buffer encoding,
Unicode characters (ą, ę, ś, ć, ż, ż…) are rendered incorrect.

When I change meta declaration to iso-8859-2 and buffer encoding to UTF-8,
characters are ok.

Anybody can help me with this issue?

Hi, I'm not sure about handling of encodings. But to avoid trouble You always should use special HTML masking for non-us-ascii characters - look there .

The Clipper plugin and the XInsert plugin can help You to insert the masked characters.

but that’s not the solution.

When I want to write a text in Polish or Russian (cyrillic) i won´t use HTML entities… My pages work great even in old browsers, but InfoViewer Sad

It would be great to embed somehow browser window in jEdit to have real time preview… (like in Aptana for example)
