jdiff plugin problems

I am using jedit 4.3pre13 with java 1.6.0_10 on linux mint. The problem I am having is that when I use the jdiff plugin, the two buffers do not scroll together. Also there are no arrows I can click on that will automatically add/remove text to the buffers. Under windows the jdiff plugin was much more functional, is there a way I can fix this in linux?

There should be almost no differences between jEdit installations on different OS's. Are You sure to have installed the same version of jDiff plugin on both systems?

You are right. I had an older version of jedit and jdiff installed (it was the version linux mint had in their repositories).

I downloaded the debian package of the development version from http://www.jedit.org/index.php?page=download and installed it and now it is working great.

Also play with the various buttons on the diff dockable. I ran into a couple of oddities where the buffers weren't actually in diff mode, just split pane mode.

I had to click the diff and unsplit buttons a few time before I saw that the buffers were in diff mode (the extra two bars on the right hand sides of the buffers), and the diff dockable was open.

Hope that makes sense.
