May with JEdit download/edit/upload remote webpage files ? If yes, I may see and remote hosting folder/file structure ? How many MBs takes on HDD the JEdit ?

You can with the addition of the FTP plugin.

For me jEdit takes ~30MB on the disk, but that's just the application directory. Each plugin adds more space on the disk.
