Plugin color control
Submitted by nfgf on Wednesday, 28 October, 2009 - 19:39
Hello, folks.

I am new to jEdit and must say that I am still experiencing it and, by the way,
loving it a lot. It has all that I wanted from a text editor and two extra
important features: it has a good scripting language and runs on Windows and
Linux, so I can use the same software at both systems.

I have defined my color preferences and installed all the plugins I think are
important to me. My current configuration uses black as the editing panel
background color, but I failed to find a way to control the plugin colors so I
could have a homogenous environment. I can see that the jEdit screenshots page
shows many plugins with different background colors so I guess that I can configure
the plugin colors somehow.

Does anybody know how to control the plugin appearance?

Thank you in advance.

Editor Scheme Plugin

Thank you very much for your response, Robert.

After installing the Editor Scheme plugin I see that it asks me whether the color properties are to be applied for some other plugins that are already installed, namely: Console, Error List, JDiff, TaskList, and WhiteSpace. The problem is that the 3 plugins that I use to keep docked in my screen are ProjectViewer, XHypersearch and Sidekick and those later plugins do not show up on the Editor Scheme list.

That made me wonder that either those later plugins do not enable external color control or Editor Scheme does not control them. By consulting the screenshots page at the site it seems that the first assertion is wrong.

Still don't know what to do... Thank you any way.
