Thank you very much guys. I have been using jedit for the last two months and I am amazed by it's abilities. I see the
Need fir just one capability and that is embedded terminal like emacs and geany. If we can have this it will be a great addon.

console plugin works okay for terminal

I am happy with the super-basic-featured terminal offered by console plugin, which can be used to access ssh remote host and do svn up. It missing lots of features like color and cursor positioning but it works if you just don't need that much.

you can dock the console plugin somewhere on the editor.

As you said its very basic, i think as a Hardware Designer I would love to see the jedit with the full terminal features...
