jediut.exe over jedit java

I installed the java version of jedit some time ago and had a lot of files in the history list. I recently installed java.exe (Windows) and now, neither of these programs can find my history list. How can I recover it (and I think I would prefer to be able to use it in the java.exe version, to become independent of changes to the java installation.

Hi,
first, jEdit is a Java program only - there is no Windows version. Under Windows You can use two version of installers (jar or exe), in either case You get jedit.jar and jedit.exe. The latter is a Windows special for convenient start of the jar, so You don't need a batch or whatever.

Second, I guess You're on Windows 7 and have upgraded from jEdit 4 to 5 and jEdit now uses a different user settings directory. Maybe it's not as bad to let jedit begin from scratch...

Thanks for the clarification. Yes, the new startup is nice. But I would still like to recover my old history. Can you tell me where it is and how I can move it to the new location? Or is there a way to put it in "my documents", so it is off my C: drive (I have another physical drive for "My Documents".
