Is anybody using 'First line glob' for edit modes?
Submitted by MjH on Saturday, 20 March, 2004 - 18:35
I tried using a 'first line glob' entry in 4.1, and it worked fine (the proper edit mode was selected when loading a file that matched the glob). Now, in 4.2 (both pre9 and pre10) it doesn't appear to be working. I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same problem?

Thanks... Maury.

Looks like I needed to RTFM a little closer. The way the edit mode globbing now works is that it compares against the file extension first. If there is a match, that is the edit mode that is used. Only if there is no match with the file extension, then the first line glob is used to determine the edit mode that is used.

In 4.1, it appears that both were checked, and a match in the first line glob would override a match in the file name glob.
