Submitted by premek_zak on Friday, 20 January, 2006 - 20:51
Hello,

I'm searching for a plugin(?), that makes something like tree in HTML file (it links <div>s, so it's impossible to forget to close it. I'm sure that it exist (i've seen it on some screenshot), but I don't know name of the plugin (or maybe it isn't plugin at all) ...
Does anybody know?

thanks

Hello premek_zak, what do you mean with: "...it _links_
s..." ? How would you like to have it? BTW, I'm looking for jedit-utilities for simplify editing HTML-Files, for example "abbreviations". I know of the plugins from http://plugins.jedit.org/list.php?category=4 , but that's not what I'm looking for. Do you have something like that, for example "abbreviations"? Axel

It looks like this:
   1:
   2:----<div>
   3:| |-<p>
4:| | dsfgs sgs rhwtr ywd dras
   5:| |-</p>
   6:|
   7:|
   8:|
   9:|
  10:|
  11:---</div>
...

Hello premek_zak,

Including the _lines_ from div to /div and from p to /p ?

I'm sorry, I don't know, how to get this.

Some (not so good) ideas are:

- Using something like "auto-indent". That places div and /div (or p and /p ) into the same column. Probabely, it could be done with "jTidy"; but AFAIK, jTidy will also fix your html-code and change it little bit.

- "sidekick" & "???" can give look similar to what you want, but in the way it works, it would not help You to find missing end-tags. (But, if you like, I can send you a screenshot; in case, You could send me an email to forum.jedit3.a99 AT dfgh.net .)

- I have seen such lines in the "SciTe"-Editor for folding... .

- (You can get a treeview, which shows you headers or hrefs and so on with the "CodeBrowser"-plugin & ctags, but that is far away from what you are looking for.)

Maybe, auto-indent would be the best of these... .

And, maybe, someone else knows of a better solution.

Have a nice weekend!

Axel
