getting SuperAbbrevs to run

Hi,
A first post. I've just started with jEdit 1.5.0_06 and am very happy with it, but (always a but) I do have one problem. I can't get SuperAbbrevs to work. I've looked at one tut here

I can't see where to put the key combo to expand the abbreviations shown in the Plugins > Plugin Options > SuperAbbrevs>Abbreviations dialog. I think I'm missing something rather obvious so any help would be very welcome

Hi Mamboze,
I'm not sure if you're having trouble with inputting your own abbreviations in the options menu, or if you just can't get the abbreviations to expand.

If it's the second one, you should just be able to type your abbreviation and hit the tab key.

So (from the example you gave) to expand the 'linkto' abbreviation, you should just be able to type 'linkto' (without the quotes) and hit the tab key.

Hi Eric,

Thanks for your help, I've got SuperAbbrevs working now. A typical newbie mistake, I was typing some code into a file but had not saved it as a .rb so hitting TAB after a defined expansion didn't work. Doh!!
