Copy with format
Submitted by weberjn on Thursday, 18 March, 2010 - 07:20
JEdit has some really nice syntax highlighting, e.g. for HTML and XML.

Occasionally I'd like to paste a snippet from jEdit into MS Word, unfortunately the format of the text is lost.

Is there a way, e.g. with a plugin, to get format information into Windows clipboard (I guess this would be Rich Text)?

Thanks,
Juergen

Workaround

I don't know a direct way but a workaround via Code2HTML plugin:

- Plugins -> Code2HTML -> HTMLize current selection (without CSS)
- save the created buffer as .html and open it in a browser or in Word
- Now You can copy and paste without losing format

Workaround is awkward

Yes, that's what I am using right now. I only find it way too awkward.

Guess I'll open an enhancement request.
