SQL Troubles

I am trying to use the SQL plugin (.98) on a Windows 2000 based system using MySQL 4.0.18 with JEdit 4.2pre11 .

I'm not sure if this is something I don't currently have configured properly but whenever I try to access the SQL in the Plugin Options, it basically becomes unresponsive.

I tried getting the JDBC Connector for MySQL but I'm not sure if I have this configured correctly or if I am missing something.

My eventual hope is to use XP Tracker which requires MySQL to work, but first things first..

Anyone have any ideas of how to work on this one?

You can try to DB Terminal plugin, at least to see if things are working. Let me know how XP Tracker works for you. I haven't gotten much feedback on it, but if I do I'll keep developing it.

SQL Plugin Freeze

The lockup was mentioned here but I don't know if there was a resolution.

Sergey V Udaltsov mentioned having found the cause (23 March), and said he planned to make an update available but whether he has had time to do so, I don't know. Certainly v0.98 still hangs my jedit as soon as I try to touch the SQL plugin options dialog.

I removed sql plugin (I wasn't using it) from my .jars directory because its presence kept hanging jedit in pre11. Do you need other features of pre11? Have you tried reverting to pre9? That (might) resolve it.
