Where is the output of jlint??
Submitted by wandro on Monday, 6 December, 2010 - 09:42
I have successfully installed jlint/antic and defined the paths to these programs. But when I run lint on C/C++ sources, nothing happens. Where can I find the output of lint?

install dependencies

Hi,

did you install also the dependencies of the plugin? It needs ErrorList , Console and also an extension what contains the Java-package org.mozilla.javascript (I don't know in which it is in).

Just check this out, I can't tell you more, because I don't need JSLit.

Greets!

Many thanks!

I had already installed ErrorList and Console. Additionally I have now installed several plugins that seemingly are related to JavaScript and Java.

But unfortunately that didn't help: The ErrorList window remains empty after running CodeLint, even if I include crude errors in the C source.

I remember that I could already use CodeLint successfully, though several years ago.

You could ask at the jEdit Users Mailing List ( https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/jedit-users ). There are more people than here.

Before, You could look for CodeLint related errors in the Activity Log. Also, have You had a look at the CodeLint help (Your first question suggests that You were not sure where the output goes to)?

-log=5

yes, it can help to write also in the dev-mailinglist.

Here something what you can do to see the error-message:

start jEdit with the parameter -log:

jedit %U -log=5

with this you change the minimal logging setting. What error do you see?

Can anybody interpret this output?

In the meantime I have seen that there were previous complaints about missing CodeLint output, but I have been unable to go to the corresponding thread: The results of the search function don't present a link to the respective thread.
